Our Environmental Sustainability Journey with Imagine Homewares and Hampers

During my studies, some 20 years ago, I was introduced to the concept of sustainability. The issue was so big, that I couldn’t get my mind around how I, one individual, could make any significant difference. The whole issue just felt too overwhelming.

Fast track to 2023.

The intensive, inwardly focused years of commencing a small business were now behind my husband and I.  The opportunity to look outward was here.  That simmering interest around sustainability was able to be ignited.

After much research, and with the help of a friend who worked in sustainability, we developed an Environmental Policy for Tread Right Podiatry & Biomechanics. In doing so, although it felt minute, we reviewed our suppliers. Could we purchase products closer to home, reducing transport miles, whilst contributing to the circular cycle of our local economy?

During this time I saw a social media post from Imagine: Homewares and Hampers on their locally made heat packs. I reached out to Greenacres Disability Services,  Head of Marketing and Business Development, Aleisha Brooke-Smith, to see if we could connect via a wholesale opportunity. After much discussion, they were willing and able to trial the development of the specific heat packs we required for our clinic.

By the end of 2023, we were selling the Imagine heat packs to our clients.

Alesiha informed me that as a result of our 2023 conversations, Imagine Homewares & Hampers developed a wholesale market. Expanding the sale of their products, Australia wide.
